1. Accurate Information

Members must provide accurate, complete and current company, contact and business information and promptly update any material changes.

2. Membership Eligibility & Approval

Membership is subject to FreightConnect’s review and approval. FreightConnect operates on a one-member-per-country exclusivity model, subject to availability and approval.

Submission of an application does not guarantee membership. FreightConnect may approve, decline, suspend or terminate membership in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

3. Professional & Ethical Conduct

Members must conduct all interactions and business dealings professionally, respectfully and ethically.

Members must not provide false, misleading or intentionally incomplete information or engage in fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful activities.

4. Confidentiality

Members must respect and protect confidential business, pricing, customer, shipment and commercial information obtained through FreightConnect and must not misuse or disclose such information without appropriate authorisation.

5. Member Directory & Information Use

Information obtained through the FreightConnect member directory may only be used for legitimate business purposes connected with active membership.

Members must not copy, reproduce, systematically extract, distribute, sell, transfer or otherwise misuse directory information, or use it to create or contribute to another database, directory, competing service or to circumvent the purpose of FreightConnect.

Upon expiry or termination of membership, members must cease using information obtained through the directory and, where reasonably practicable, delete or return such information, except where retention is required by law.

6. Business Enquiries & Shipping Referrals

Members are expected to respond professionally to genuine business enquiries received through FreightConnect.

Trade Partners

Where a business lead or enquiry generated through FreightConnect results in a requirement for shipping services, the Trade Partner agrees to route the resulting shipment opportunity through FreightConnect’s participating freight-forwarding members.

Business obtained independently of FreightConnect remains at the Trade Partner’s discretion.

7. Commercial Responsibility

Members are responsible for establishing their own commercial terms, pricing, payment conditions, documentation and contractual arrangements with other parties.

FreightConnect does not automatically become a party to, or assume responsibility for, any commercial transaction between members.

8. Member-to-Member Transactions & Disputes

All commercial transactions between members are entered into at the parties’ own responsibility.

Any dispute, disagreement, non-payment, service issue, contractual matter or other commercial claim remains primarily the responsibility of the parties involved.

FreightConnect does not guarantee payment, performance, service quality, delivery, pricing or any other commercial outcome. FreightConnect may, at its discretion, assist with communication or recovery efforts where appropriate, but such assistance does not make FreightConnect responsible for the underlying transaction or dispute.

9. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

Members are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, customs requirements, trade regulations, licensing requirements and other regulatory obligations relevant to their business and transactions.

10. Member Payment Recovery Support

This clause applies only to Freight-Forwarding Members.

Where a Freight-Forwarding Member opts into FreightConnect Member Payment Recovery Support, participation is subject to the separate Member Payment Recovery Support Terms & Conditions.

11. Fees & Payments

Membership fees and applicable additional service fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by FreightConnect in writing.

FreightConnect reserves the right to revise membership fees or service fees with prior notice.

12. Proper Use & Membership Integrity

Members must not use FreightConnect for spam, fraudulent activity, misleading offers, unauthorised solicitation, unlawful activity, misuse of information, circumvention or any activity that could negatively affect FreightConnect, its members or the integrity of the Alliance.

FreightConnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where a member materially breaches these Terms & Conditions or engages in conduct that could materially harm FreightConnect or its members.

13. Modifications

FreightConnect reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Updated Terms & Conditions will be published on the FreightConnect website, and continued membership or use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated terms will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.
